Whitewater Rafting and Kayaking

The Pacific Northwest is known for its incredible whitewater rafting, and for good reason. Oregon itself is home to some of the nations' most popular rafting rivers, including the Deschutes River, Rogue River, and the Upper Klamath. Many popular runs are only a few hours from Ashland, making rafting a great day trip or overnight adventure. Most runs vary in difficulty from novice to highly advanced, so when you're planning a trip, consider the experience of your group and select a river that will meet everyone's skill level. Another great way to enjoy local rivers is through a rafting guide service. While we do not offer such services at the Ashland Outdoor Store, we are happy to answer all your whitewater questions, from guiding options to put-in locations. We hope our enthusiasm and knowledge of the sport will help get you on the water!

On this site, we have compiled information on several local rivers. Below is a map of put-in's for river trips around the Ashland, Oregon area. Just hover your mouse over the little boaters on the map to get an info window for that river. Click anywhere on the map to close the info window. Want to know more about a river section? Each river has its own, detailed page. Just click the more info link in that rivers info window!
